I was pulled over yesterday, and I really did learn a valuable lesson. When the officer says "You were going fast", it's not good to say "Yeah? Well your Mom is fast."
Seriously, I know a lot of great police officers, who took the job to really protect and serve. Matt Pennington, Sam Tower, guys like that. And let's not forget about the women on the force either. Extraordinary people.
Unfortunately, there are others who put on the badge simply to have power over others. We see them on the news, because these knuckleheads somehow forget about their dash cam.
If you watch an episode of "Cops", everyone is on their best behavior. I think the Cops crew should stay with the knuckleheads. That would eliminate the problem. My brother says he hates cops. Why? Because he likes to speed. Seriously? You hate those that enforce the law, just so you can break it?
I would much rather live where laws are enforced. Can you imagine what it would be like if there were no speed limits? Montana is a prime example. They had no speed limits. You could go 120, as long as you weren't driving a Rambler. You'd be lucky to get up to 50 in one of those tanks.
So many people died on the roads, that there are now speed limits, and lives are being saved. So, the next time you get pulled over for speeding, texting, driving recklessly, etc; thank the officer for doing their job. They may have just saved your life.
Now, garbage men and women, I do dislike you. Could you maybe pick up in the afternoon, instead of waking me up at 5 a.m.? :-)
