Broken Elbow!

Note to self: never run down the sidewalk with two dogs. Mayhem will be waiting in the wings and disaster will ensue.

My wife, Heather did that exact thing yesterday and fell on her left elbow and broke it. Ouch! It's a mess. She's in a temporary cast until surgery can be performed, which will most likely be next week.

Running with one dog seems to be ok, generally speaking, unless said dog is a rather large puppy who is not completely trained. This one got right in her running path and that was all she wrote.

Pretty rough stuff. We didn't get out of the emergency room until about 9:45, then had to get her prescription of percoset at the only 24 hour pharmacy between here and Pocatello, Idaho, a 3 hour drive.

So, I finally got her to bed at, 1:30 am. She's sleeping well, now, thanks to the drugs, but I can't get her in to see the surgeon until Wednesday. Ugh. She's going to be in quite a bit of pain until then.

She's sleeping now and hopefully learned a valuable lesson. Never rob a liquor store with surveillance cameras. Oops, wrong blog. That's a a lesson that I.. I mean a friend of mine that I don't even know learned.
