Stupid will catch up with you

Once, while on a long walk, I got very tired, so I stole a steam roller and led police on a 5 mph chase. Finally, a cop walked up and turned off the ignition.

A waitress, Brianna Priddy works at a restaurant in the Denver suburb of   Colorado. A couple of weeks ago, Brianna's wallet was stolen. In the meantime, somebody was going around the Greater Denver area cashing hundreds of dollars of bad checks using Brianna's stolen ID. This is important to remember.

One day, Brianna was at work serving some delicious menu fare to the people of the Metro Denver area when a young woman came into the restaurant and was seated in Brianna's section. The young lady, then ordered an adult drink. Brianna wasn't sure that the customer was of legal drinking age, so the waitress asked for some form of identification to verify that the customer was indeed of the age of majority. The woman happily complied and presented a drivers license to the waitress.

There was only one little problem. The ID that the customer showed the server was the waitress stolen drivers license! How stupid can you be?

You can only imagine what the waitress was thinking, but, she kept her cool and calmly took the patrons drink order then called the police right away.

The woman was taken into police custody and charged with a bunch enough crimes that will keep her behind bars for a few years, where her I D will consist of a string of numbers on a striped jumpsuit.

This woman is certainly not the only idiotic criminal out there. Some years ago, a man walked into a bank and demanded money on a note he prepared at home. He handed the teller the note and left with cash.

He had no idea that the note he left was on a deposit with all of his personal information on it. The police went to his home and arrested him and confiscated the stolen loot. Idiot.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy these two were caught, with no one being hurt. And, it's going to be a long time until they try something so stupid again.

See you tomorrow.
