Stay Put 3

I think that even when bees move to a new hive, they get a house "swarming party". I've never lived in a place long enough to have a house "warming" party.

Ok, now to confess to the moves initiated only by me and a couple of wives.

When I left home, I joined the Air Force in San Antonio, Texas. That was crazy. Going from Eureka, California where the temperature ranges between 65-70 °, to San Antonio in July, where it is at least 1,000 °.

I digress. Then, back to Eureka. I then moved from my parent's house to an apartment in Eureka. From there, I moved to Portland, Oregon with my brother and his friends. I didn't like it, so I moved back to Eureka.

You can only live with your parents so long before everyone has a meltdown, so I moved back to Southern California, this time in Temple City. I got a promotion and moved to San Bernardino, California. I was promoted again and got married, moving to an apartment back in Temple City. We stayed there for a number of years before taking a new job in Thousand Oaks, California, then another promotion to Alhambra, California.

From Alhambra, we rented a new house in Walnut, then to Diamond Bar, back to Temple City, San Marino, Fullerton then El Monte. I then bought a house in Pomona. I sold the house and moved to an upscale condo in neighboring Diamond Bar, then out to Rancho Cucamonga, then to Ontario. I'm getting worn out just thinking about all of these moves.

From Ontario to Chino to Long Beach (my younger brother will certainly have something to say about this one), then to Playa Del Ray, then off to Irvine, then Lake Forest. When I decided to get out of Southern California, I moved to two different places in San Luis Obispo, then Monterey and then to Ogden, Utah, then Pocatello, Idaho and the rest were outlined in yesterday's blog.

I wonder if there is a Guiness Book of World Records for moves? If so, I think I should contact them. Many of the California moves were necessary due to promotions and divorces, but still, this represents 28 moves in 22 years.

So, that's 46 moves in 57 years. I know! Based on this total, I move every, 1.4 years. I'm definitely running from something. What? I don't know. Ex wives? Maybe. I've never been arrested or charged with anything, so I'm going to try to figure this out. Wish me luck.

See you tomorrow. Where? I have no idea.
