Today, all men should be in control of the remote.
Father's day is a lot like Mother's day, only without the breakfast in bed, special treatment all day, and dinner out. Outside of that, it's exactly the same.
I think most men don't expect much on father's day. I know that if I talk to my kids, life is good and it's been a great father's day. Plus a good BBQ, which I know is part of the plan. Sweet!
This morning, I woke to a wonderful message from my daughter, Sarah.
"HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! I'm so thankful to be your daughter, to be where we are now, the adventure we've experienced. I love you Daddy." What more can a father ask? And today is her birthday!
She is a wonderful daughter, Mother, wife to her great husband, Steve. Steve is a great father, as well. I'm very proud of both of them!
My other daughter, Cecilee, is an amazing young woman herself! She is very talented in the arts. She is an amazing artist and performer. She is also a great daughter.
Eric, my son, is a Pastor in Mississippi, and very busy today. I may not hear from him today. Sundays are crazy busy for him. I'll call him, for sure today.
This is a short one today, but happy father's day to all of my friends and readers!
See you tomorrow.
