Despite the popular theory, men are very understanding. We understand that if we don't listen and do what our wives want, we're going to be in big trouble.
It is with bittersweet emotion that I head home today. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to spend time with two of our children and their families.
I need an escort to fly home, so my daughter is flying across the country with me, then flying right back home. She volunteered for the job. So, a very long day for her, my wife is sick and I'm exhausted. It's the perfect storm, a powder keg.
With the mixture of sickness fatigue and exhaustion, anything can happen.
They're both women, so it wouldn't take much to set off the bomb.
Seriously, I have to thank my daughter, Sarah, my son-in-law, Steve, my son, Eric and daughter-in-law, Lesley for their hospitality. It is indescribable to spend quality time with your children and grandchildren.
So, I'm at the airport, waiting to board. Two flights and I'm home. Unless, of course, the perfect storm hits.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to make a call to calm the storm.
See you tomorrow.
