Global Warming?

If Al Gore really thinks the globe is warming would love to hear him tell the people in the mid west.

I went on a trip to Atlanta, Georgia. When I left Salt Lake City, which has been pounded with snow this winter, it was a balmy 45 degrees. When I reached Atlanta, it was in the 30s and snowing! Snowing! It doesn't snow in Atlanta. Global warming, my behind. Perhaps the weather patterns are changing, but its not getting warmer in the US.

I'm having a blast here with my Daughter, Sarah, Son-in-law, Steve and my grand kids, Katie and Isaac. They are so adorable. Katie is so creative for a 6 year old. She is certainly the wild child, but far above average in school. Yes, I'm pulling the old "my grand kid is smarter than anyone else" card, nut I really mean it, in this case.

I played boxing on her WII with her. She knocked me out three times. Three times! I surrendered.Threw in the white flag. Sent up smoke signals to indicate defeat.

Isaac is adorable. He's just a baby and yesterday, he turned over for the first time. A milestone! Yes, maybe I'm a little over zealous, but you grandparents understand.

Next week, it's off to Mississippi to visit my son and his family, including his wonderful wife, Leslie and their three children, Boaz, Abby and Titus. I can hardly wait. Boaz is the eldest and full of fun and frolic, while Abby is much more subdued. Titus is a baby, so who knows?

In the end, Its a grandpa bonding with his grandchildren. There's little better in this world that beats it.

My other daughter, Cecilee (a blend of her grandparents' first names), lives in the Seattle area. She is certainly her own young lady, and as such, she performs stand-up comedy and improvisation. This thrills me greatly, for those of you who know how long I have performed stand-up and improv. Cecilee did this without any prompting from me. Amazing.

In any event, it is a trip long over due, although I do miss my wife and puppies greatly. I'll be home soon enough, but I had to see the kids and grandchildren. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have a shirt to ruin, by burping Isaac.

 See you tomorrow
